First time in his crib.

Since we got home from the hospital we have tried to get Gavin to sleep in his pack -n- play but with no sucess. Sometimes he will sleep in it and then other times he has nothing to do with it. We have even tried a wedge, a bassinet, the couch and even the boppy. All these work somedays but not others. The best way for him to sleep is on our chest. As much as we love it I also hate that he sleeps with us. I have always said that my kids will not sleep with me but in the middle of the night comes and we are exhausted and the only way to get sleep is this way then thats how it will be. However he will sleep good but he is very vocal in his sleep, he grunts and makes all kinds of crazy noises, no we dont get the best sleep and on top of that he eats every 2hours, yes even at night. So needless to say we are exhausted.
Well we did not want to put him in his crib yet due to the risk of SIDS, but we have discussed this in detail and decided to but him in his crib with hopes that we all get some rest. This way we will not hear every moan and groan but still will hear if he cries and will take all necessary precautions to reduce the risk of SIDS. We have a video monitor that works very well so now lets pray that this works and we all get some much needed rest.
We also swaddled him because when he fights his sleep he knocks his pacifer out of his mouth with his hands, he gets very mad and his arms go every which way. This way his arms and swaddled and cant do this. We have tried it before but it did not work but we are always trying to reintroduce new things.
It does make me sad seeing him in his crib though, he just looks so little in such a big bed but so adorable at the same time. As I am writing this he has been asleep for 30 min and is now waking up, this is just how night time is.
