August 25, 2008 we found out we were expecting our first child. After 3 months of trying we found out, and could not be happier or more nervous. It was actually my birthday and I had not missed my cycle yet but something told me to take a test, it was Faith I know it. After taking the test and Kevin not allowing me to look at he told me it was positive but only after I said there was only 1 line, from the reflection I saw in the mirror. Out of complete shock and joy we stared at each other and I started screaming, crying and running up and down the hall. Kevin was pacing the house and just stating what all needed to be cleaned and how we needed to start saving money, but that is just how Kevin is. After somewhat grasping the idea we sat on the couch together and held each other after making a few phone calls
However we did go to Target later that night to get another test, even a different brand and we had a positive sign again and at that point we knew it was true and there was no turning back.
Even though we wanted to be pregnant the shock of it all took over but we could not be more happy.
